Highlands Innovation CIC is a community-focused social enterprise founded by a group of people who could not be more different — and yet more aligned in purpose. Entrepreneurs, students, retirees, engineers, creatives, community volunteers and experienced leaders came together with one shared intention: to build something meaningful, something useful, and something that leaves communities stronger than it found them.
Our founding team includes both Scots and Ukrainians — individuals whose paths crossed through circumstance, resilience and a mutual belief in helping others. This combination of cultures, experiences and perspectives shaped the spirit of our organisation: practical, warm-hearted, determined, and focused on real-world impact. We believe that meaningful change happens when people with different backgrounds work side by side, contributing their own strengths to a shared mission.
As a Community Interest Company, our priority is not profit, but people.
